Frequently asked questions

How to find a suitable accommodation?

Please follow the link Tourist information on the left. Under the Accommodation section you can get a list of hotels, hostels and rooms. Ljubljana is a small city and the workshop venue is no more than 20 minutes walking distance from the centre in southwest direction. There is also a good bus connection (Line 1 or 6).

Is it possible to get a room in a student dormitory?

We would like to inform you that the organizers secured some beds in the Ljubljana student dormitories. It is about 15 minutes walk from the dormitories to the Summer School and Workshop venue. A two-week fee will be approximately 75 EUR. The number of beds is limited. If you wish to be considered for accommodation in the dormitories, please send us (to finmat11@fmf.uni-lj.si) the exact dates of your arrival and departure from Ljubljana as soon as possible. The deadline for application is June 15, 2011.

Another way to find inexpensive accommodation in Ljubljana is to visit the web page http://www.visitljubljana.si/en/accommodation/ (which is also linked in the menu of our web page) and select Youth & student hostels. There are a few hostels in the center of Ljubljana, which is about half an hour walking from the venue. A bit closer is Hostel Print (http://www.hostelprint.com/). You might want to check also some high school dormitories (called Dijaski dom in Slovene), which also offer inexpensive accommodation for tourists. High school classes begin on September 1, but still sometimes you are able to find a room throughout the year.
